Whole Wheat Beetroot Poori is a vibrant and nutritious variation of traditional Indian fried bread, known for its striking crimson hue and subtle earthy sweetness. Incorporating beetroot puree into the whole wheat flour dough imparts a beautiful color and enriches the poori with additional vitamins and minerals. The process involves kneading the beetroot puree into the flour and spices like carom seeds, which aid digestion and add a hint of aromatic flavor. Once rolled and deep-fried, these pooris puff up into soft, fluffy breads that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. They pair excellently with various accompaniments like vegetable preparations, curries, and yogurt-based condiments like raitas and curries, or even enjoyed with a dollop of butter. Whole Wheat Beetroot Poori offers a creative and wholesome twist to the classic poori, making it a delightful addition to any meal, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
