Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hathi Brand Whole Wheat Chakki Atta
  • ½ cup jaggery, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup grated coconut
  • ¼ cup ghee
  • ¼ tsp fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Water, as needed.

Method

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add fennel seeds. Sauté for a minute until aromatic.
  • Combine Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta, grated coconut, cardamom powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the chopped jaggery and mix until well incorporated. Gradually add water, a little at a time, to form a smooth, pliable dough.
  • Shape the dough into small, flat discs using your palms.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the discs until golden brown and crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Drain on paper towels and let cool.
