Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta
  • ½ cup ghee
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp. chopped almonds or pistachios (optional).

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the ghee and powdered sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  • Sift the atta, baking powder, cardamom powder, and salt into the bowl.
  • Mix the ingredients gently to form a soft dough. If the dough feels too dry, add a teaspoon of milk.
  • Shape small balls from the dough and flatten them slightly. Place them on the baking tray and press some chopped nuts on top.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Let the Nankhatai cool on a wire rack before serving.
