Ingredients
- 1 cup Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta
- 1/2 cup grated or powdered jaggery
- 1/2 cup melted ghee
- 1/2 cup coarsely crushed mixed nuts
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Method
Step 1. Roasting atta with other ingredients
- Pour 1 cup of Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta into a wide, thick-bottomed pan or kadai.
- Place the pan/kadai over low to medium-low heat and start roasting the atta.
- Stir continuously without breaks to ensure the atta roasts evenly and turns golden brown.
- Keep roasting until the color changes and you notice a nutty aroma from the flour. This should take around 7 minutes on low heat.
- Add the melted ghee to the roasted atta and mix well for 3 more minutes.
- Turn off the flame and add coarsely crushed mixed nuts to the mixture.
- Set this mixture aside and let it cool.
Step 2. Making ladoos
- After letting it cool a bit, add jaggery and cardamom powder. Mix everything well using your hands.
- Split the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each bit into a round ladoo by rolling it between your palms.
- Enjoy your atta ladoos right away, or store them in an air-tight container for later.
